My Lock Down House
We moved house on March the 20th - it was the Friday before LOCK DOWN!
We moved to Mangere Bridge.
We have to go up a long, long, long driveway, and you see three houses. Our house is first.
The view from our porch is the Manukau Harbour and I can see Rangitoto Island, One Tree Hill, the Sky tower and the dairy!
We also have a big mountain behind us. When we go up to the top we can see over to Mount Roskill.
We have a trampoline. It arrived during Lock down, we were so excited!
My brother Noah and I put it up after lunch with some help from Michael, Mum and Dad.
Kia ora Wiremu, wow sounds like you've got some great views. I used to love walking up Mangere Mountain when I lived there. Do you know the Maori name for it? I can't remember. Have you been joining your class for the Google Meet sessions?
ReplyDeleteHi Wiremu, wow your view sounds fabulous! I bet you were happy that you managed to move before the lock down started. I think having a trampoline would be a really good way to exercise safely during this time, you can bounce and bounce as much as you like without having to leave your own property. What else have you been doing to stay active - have you explored your new area by going on walks? You've really made a superb effort by ensuring you edited your post well - congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWe'll see you next week in the online lessons, have a lovely weekend.
Talofa Wiremu,
ReplyDeleteYou must have a lovely view from your house. You have a lot of ways to exercise. You can: play on your tramp, climb the mountain. If you could see the dairy, you could even walk there and back. Are you happy in your new house? I moved house weeks and weeks and weeks ago. At my old house I had a lot of neighbours to play with. In the house I'm living in now, I only have cats and dogs as my neighbors, mainly.
Awesome blog post, Wiremu. Hope you have a fun time with your bubble. Blog you later, bye!
Hi Wiremu
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to know you moved into your new home....and just before 'Lockdown'. The photos you posted shows you have really lovely views. How exciting to put your trampoline together so you can all use it. This is a great way to help you keep fit during this lockdown time.
Have you been managing to walk and explore this new area with your family?
Keep safe and healthy in your bubble with your family.
Hi Wiremu. Whew, you were fortunate to move before lockdown! Our daughter and son in law have a new home but they haven't been able to move in yet. They are so looking forward to moving soon. How amazing having a Mangere Mountain behind your house and being able to see the Manukau and Rangitoto Island from your deck. That is so special! Have you been walking in your new neighbourhood?
ReplyDeleteThank you for your blog updates and I look forward to seeing and hearing about more of your term two activities.
